Sorry for slow post, only Internet on phone. We are all fine which makes us feel very lucky. We are quite close to the earthquake centre, so the house took a bit of a battering, but we have power, some water – very low pressure, boil to use and no hot water. And of course the hole dug in the back yard for, well, you know.
This is still better than a lot of people. Not as good as we’d like but really, so much better than it could have been.
I hope this finds everybody else fine and my thoughts go out to everyone who have lost or have missing loved ones.

Take care, Hugh and family. My thoughts are with you. Just glad that everyone is ok. *hug*
Thanks Alfred, we can use a few hugs at the moment.
Soooo happy and relieved that you are all safe. From Melbourne, it took a scary couple of days to locate my immediate family mostly by brief SMS’s. The TV images of carnage and destruction have been heartbreaking. The important thing is that you are together and unharmed. The rest will take a very long time but will eventually fall into place. My guest room is available any time you need a break. Eat as much chocolate as you can get hold of; and I never thought I’d say this, but perhaps casked wine is the best (unbreakable) option for now!!
Love and squishy hugs,
Patsy

Pleased to hear you are all OK.
Phil and I and our friends and families are thankfully OK also.
Getting sick of these aftershocks. Had one located right underneath our house on Tuesday night!!!
Take care
